Background...

This series is going to take a look at some issues and reasons why people say they are not Christ followers, even though they believe he exists.  The reasoning behind this series is to not convert you or change who you are.  It is a series designed to simply have you re-evaluate your perceptions on Christianity.  All I ask is that you open your minds and soften your hearts just long enough to take in what is being read.

The basis behind the entire series stems from results of two surveys that were posted on the nation’s leading news channels.  A poll completed by FOX news showed results of 92% of Americans believe in God.  Another poll from CNN shows 83% believe that Jesus was born of a virgin birth.  Why is it then that only 1 out of 3 Americans practice Christianity on a weekly basis and even fewer have accepted Christ into their hearts as their savior?

Many people have been preached at and judged because of the position they have on religion.  It is not my place to say whether you are right or wrong in your beliefs.  I strongly believe that there is a God and that Christ died on the cross for my sin.  The material that I am going to present is aimed so that you can make an educated decision on your religious beliefs and not be forced to take a defensive stance from me or anyone else condemning your beliefs.
