Now What? |

You have just read the past several postings in this series and together we learned about how Christians are indeed not boring, we learned that we are sick with sin and that we should not be pushy or preachy and just follow Jesus. We also discussed how Jesus cleared all of our debt for us and how it is not that really that hard to be a Christ follower. Now you may be wondering what is next. You now have an opportunity to make a more informed decision. You can decide to not accept Christ, to get more details before you decide, or to accept Him into your heart. If you choose not to accept Christ then I want to encourage you to ask yourself if you opened your heart and mind long enough to get all the facts that you needed. Many people are simply refusing to listen and may have been forced to read this or into a decision. I do not want you to say no to Christ, but if you do please make sure it is an honest decision. The next possible choice is that you are still not sure. You may have many questions about faith itself or just about your own intentions. That is ok too. There are many ways to get the answers that you need. One way is to talk to a local pastor or someone close to you that is also a Christian. You can email me and the InspireTomorrow.com staff and we will try to address your concerns. Keep in mind that not every single question can be answered when it comes to religion. There are many things that we have to rely on faith for because we can’t physically see and touch them. That is not the magic answer that you want, but God is not a magic being. Science can’t answer many things that we can see, touch, and hear everyday. Unfortunately, religions are based on your beliefs from the things that we do know from history and our own experiences. However, I am going to try and answer many of these issues and questions in the next series. Be sure to check that out, it may help your decision making process. Finally, you have the option to say yes to Christ. You can admit and accept that He died for our sins and that you’re willing to ask Him into your heart. To do this you need to simply say this prayer or one like it, “Lord, I know that Jesus died for my sins and that I am not worthy of your love. Please, come into my life and have your Holy Spirit guide me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.” It is that simple. The hard part is taking that step. If you have any questions or concerns about accepting Jesus or anything that we discussed please contact a pastor or email our staff. We here at InspireTomorrow.com would love to hear your stories about acceptance or even your reasons not to accept. Any questions on faith are also welcome and you may even find your question as the topic of a future posting. |
