Below are some quick facts from the Lowcountry Crisis Pregnancy Center (LCPC) located in Charleston, SC.  This is a Center that operates solely from donations as do the others located throughout the U.S.

1. There are 3 abortion clinics in SC – Charleston, Columbia and Greenville.  The last year that we have DHEC stats is 2004.  In 2004, there were 6,565 abortions performed in SC.
2. The abortion clinic in Charleston is the largest in our state.  In 2004, 2,851 abortions were performed there.
3. At the LCPC, we see approximately 4,700 clients per year for all of our services – pregnancy tests, counseling, ultrasounds, post abortion support groups, prenatal care, parenting classes, Earn While You Learn classes and the distribution of baby clothes, baby equipment, diapers, formula, etc.  Of these 4,700, approximately 1,300 of them are for pregnancy tests and many of them are abortion-minded.
4. In 2005, 266 babies were saved through our ultrasound program.  These were babies whose mothers were definitely abortion-minded.

There is help for those that are “abortion-minded,” just ask the 266 babies that have been saved in Charleston, SC alone!
