The Outer Banks is known throughout the world for the beautiful lighthouses and clean beaches. If you have never heard of either of those you have surely seen the OBX stickers on bumpers and windows of cars all over the U.S. Furthermore, the Outer Banks is region that houses Kitty Hawk which was the location of the first airplane flight!

Things to do...

The wild horses - Ocean Hill, NC - Take Route 12 all the way North and you will end up on the beach. You can safely drive your car right onto the beach. As you drive you will have the Atlantic Ocean 20 feet to your right and scenic sanddunes to your left. Keeping a close eye you may even see a group of mustangs enjoying the same views.

085 Bayan Rendezvous – Corolla, NC - This spacious 5 bedroom beach house was the key to a relaxing vacation. There is a pool, hottub, charcoal grill, large decks, and even a crows nest with ocean views. The rooms and amenities on their own are nothing elegant. However, the pool is very private as is the hottub. The walk to the beach is only 3-5 minutes with children and gear. The home is fully furnished with kitchen utensils, beds, and everything else. There is even a air hockey table! Definitely a bang for the buck! I will look into staying here again if in Corolla, NC anytime in the near future!
